He Is Risen

Easter has come and gone, at least the day we celebrate Easter has gone for another year. But we can rejoice that Easter is alive and well everyday of the year because He is Risen. You notice I didn’t say He was risen but He is risen. There is a big difference in the two. When we say He was risen we are saying that Jesus was risen before but that he is not risen today. When we say he is risen then we are saying that he rose on that first Easter and that he is still risen today. We serve a living God and a living Savior. He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and he was buried in a tomb that was sealed with a large rock and guards. But on the third day the stone was rolled away and he rose from the dead and he still lives today sitting at the right hand of the Father and interceding for us. Jesus Christ gave his life on the cross to pay for my sins and yours and God raised him to eternal life so that we too can have the hope and promise of eternal life in heaven. If you are a Christian then you are experiencing Easter every day. If you have not yielded your life to the Savior then please know that you too can have that same hope and promise. When we confess (admit we have sinned), repent (feel sorry) for our sins, turn away from sin, and believe that Jesus forgives you, you too can receive the hope and promise of eternal life through the forgiveness of you sins. Will you experience Easter everyday or will you have to wait until next year and just celebrate the day?
